why the **** wont it screw back in?
i got the line going to the top of the radiator, but when i went to screw the bottom one in, it feels like it starting to tighten, it just pops back out

The top line is usually a bit more flexible and accessible because of the vertical run, so try doing the bottom first and then the top.

yeh i screw it in, it feels like its going in, then all of a sudden it gets loose and you can haul it out...im not sure what im doing wrong, ill take out the top one then try the bottom one first i guess
i wouldnt have even taken out the rad, but my new chrome hoses were a bitch to get it, so i took out the rad for easier access, im getting really pissed off.
i have a q, it screws in to a point where it stays and if i touch it it is snug, but if i tighten it anymore it comes loose again and pops out.

buy an external tranny cooler for now and bypass the radiator. go to the junk yard and look for one or buy one and sell it on ebay after you do the t56 swap

you take the lines off the tranny and run it to the cooler instead. you are supose to use both the radiator and cooler but since its temp. i wouldnt worry that much. maybe get a tranny temp gauge to moniter the temps

Yeah it has a couple feet of hose attached to it. You would just slip the hose over your tranny lines and clamp 'em. It mounts in front of the radiator. There's some bracing up there that it's real easy to zip tie it to.

oh so your running rubber hose, i thought that wasnt good. it mount in the front of the radiator, i thought this wasnt going to hook up to my radiator, cuz i stripped the bottom part where one of the lines go into, the top hole is alright as the line is in there.
you might have to explain this a little better, as im new to trannys

The cooler has 2 ports each w/ a piece of hose attached. You would slide the hose over the end of each tranny line. A tranny cooler is alot like a small radiator if you can picture that. Look around the website I'm sure you can find some examples, if not I could send you a pic of it.

ok what im getting from this, is that the cooler has 2 holes just like the ones on the radiator for the lines coming from the transmission will go to, right? so i can block off my radiator with plugs where the transmission lines were, and take out the steel lines altogether, because i will be using the ones that come with yours right?
how do i mount it on the transmission?

You'd cut the ends off your factory steel lines, slide the rubber hoses over the cut ends, and secure them with hose clamps.

ok i get it now, any certain place i should cut them, or just near the transmission, and slide the rubber hose over my steel lines, and im finished.
how do you get the cooler to work? do you fill it with coolant or anything before you install? and does it just bolt to the transmision?

You don't want it near the transmission, you want it mounted in front of the rad so air can flow through it.

You don't have to cut your tubes at all. Just slide the nut back and push the hose over the end. If you leave that flare on the end it will help the hose seal and hold the pressure.
No coolant!!!!!! Tranny fluid flows through it from your trans. When your trans is hooked to your radiator, it's really just using the cooling effects of the radiator to help cool the trans fluid. The coolant in your motor doesn't go through your trans at all.
You will mount it in the nose of the car in front of the radiator. There's enough hose w/ the cooler I have to do that easy. There's room just to the left of the radiator for the hose to pass through and hook to the tranny lines.
Also, you don't have to plug your radiator. Nothing will be going through there w/ the lines unhooked........
Are you starting to get it???

so where the lines went into the radiator now, i can leave those unhooked? what about the tranny liquid that was going through the bottom parts do i have to empty the rad?

do you take paypal? so total 32$, it works right, lol, just to make sure.

I've got this hookup on my car, as I did the same thing (I feel your pain on this, it sucks). I will snap some pics of the mount and the lines this weekend and post them so you can see how I did it
