Installed Transgo in 700r4 now nothing!

What could I have missed. Installed the kit....no easy chore by the way....guess If I'd done it a couple of dozen times it would have been pretty easy. Sat in the car today after adding to trans fluid...started it up and....no shifting at all. Well the shift lever moves but the car doesn't.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Marty

you could have missed a checkball, not gotten the boost valves all the way in, drilled a wrong passage, didn't get the filter in good, how much tranny fluid did you put back in it? it hard to know. take the valve body back out and retrace your steps. pay special attention to the check *****, they get lost easily. the instructions show where they go. did you use anything to hold them in place?

to hold the check ***** into the tranny case use vaseline. it wont hurt anything and will dilute into the atf. i would do what jeff said and go through everything you did.

I used vaseline to hold the check ***** in place. Everything looked like it went back together just fine.

Is there a linkage that I might have hooked up wrong? Maybe one of the last steps?

you could have forgotten to hook up the manual valve inside the valve body. if you did that, you would have to remove the valve body and try again. did you just put the valve body straight up into place? if so, then that is a good possibillity. it can be tricky to put the valve body on with the manual valve hooked up.

the manual valve hooks up to the linkage in the upper right corner of this pic.

It was the TV boost valve. The valve wasn't all the way up in place and the snap ring didn't seat. There is a ring halfway up that looks like the place the snap ring seats but it's an illusion...the actual place the snap ring seats is about another 1/4 inch higher. Oh yeah..you need to GENTLY fiddle with the whole TV assembly to actually get it worked up high enough to access the seat for the snap ring.
