G Force Gears No More

I just noticed that G-Force is no longer selling their T5 5 Speed Gear Sets on their website. So if you have increased the HP and torque of your engine what can be done to your T-5 WC transmission to make it stronger?

I was just at their web site and it's still showing the G-Force T-5.

This was the site a I accessed:

http://www.5speeds.com/t5/gforce.html

Correct me if I am wrong but this seems to indicate they are not providing these gears any more.

Yeah, it seems that 5Speeds.com doesn't carry them anymore..

Try G Force: http://www.g-forcetransmissions.com/tran_gt-5.asp

Try www.astroperformance.com . I know the page is covered with mustangs, but I called and they do stuff with camaro tranny's too. It has to be a wc.

i looked into getting the G force gears.

IIRC 5speeds.com carried their parts for 100's less than anywhere else. Because of the number of parts 5speeds.com were selling, they had an unfair market share of G force parts and the other distributors were unhappy...so G force asked them to charge more money and they refused. They dropped G Force

I was going to build a G force T5...but its more expensive than a LT1 T56 and quite possibly not as strong because you still have case flex.

One of the down sides to the T-56 is weight. It is about twice the weight of a T-5.

For a little bit more than the gear set you can get a new TKO 500. A stronger & better design trans.

Very true. I think the dry weight of a T5 is 75 lbs vs 125 for the T56.

Was quite a difference moving them around the garage.
