tv cable problem?

My problems are that when it`s in overdrive and i take off from a dead stop it acts real jerky when i `m not getting on it. it shifts fine when i floor it and also when i manually shift it in gears. Also when i am goin 75 the rpm`s are wrapin round 25-28 grand. i`ve had a b&m shift kit put in the tranny. It was the street&strip one. I`ve tried adjusting it afew times and no luck.So could it be my cable or what i outta idea`s

Does it do the same thing when you shift it manually?

I would drop the pan and make sure the none of the valves are stuck in the valve body.

TV adjustment is extremely important of these transmissions. Try to readjust it by pressing the lock tab and pushing the cable all the way in (toward the firewall) and then releasing the tab. Now open the throttle to full and it should pull the cable out with it. This will be the max adjustment needed for the cable. If this doesn't work then you have a stuck valve or check ball in the wrong place.

you really need to buy a repair manual that shows pictures and explains what is what, especially if you haven't done it before. Be careful and go slow. If this fails then it might be an internal clutch problem. This would require alot of knowledge and some special tools. I have rebuilt a few of them so let me know what you have done.
