VSS problems

Transmission: Built 700R-4
VSS problems
im replacing the VSS on my 91 camaro with 700R4 and i need to know which way the gear faces that attaches to the senser, if the front of the car is ^ then is the gear < or > if you understand what im sayin can you help me? and if not i might be able to clarify a bit more

I get what you're sayin.
Front of car ^ VSS gear >
When you're looking at the assembly, the whole thing will be streamlined; kinda like a bullet.
If the gear is oriented to look more like an open bowl, it's wrong.

thanks, ok then i did put it in right, so now i just have to figure out why my speedo doesnt work! grrrr but thanks again!!
