if i can find a th700 does it use vaccum to shift or electric? im thinking of putting in a carbed 350 in my 88 camaro with a 2.8 and getting rid of the computer and all electric except for the lights and heater and radio.. im trying to figure out which tranny will work the best without having to buy a crossmember and torqe arm from spoon.

I uses neither. It shifts are based on internal hydraulics with outside throttle position input via a cable mounted between the throttle arm (on the carb or TB) & the throttle valve inside the trans
