700r4's from ebay
are there any reputable sellers on ebay.ive found a "super stock" 700r4 on therethat has been upgraded with the most needed items to help out all the weak points on a stock 700r4 alond with a few hop ups.Its 725 with free shipping and a free torque converter. All the shops and auto stores around here are about 900,without a converter, and thats rebuilt with completely stock parts, and i do need that new converter as mine is trash.Ive heard to stay away from mad dog as his trannies are trash.

Remember the saying "You get what you pay for" & in some cases less I might add. These prices sound too cheap for quality rebuild.

wow, i was debating between those two companies. yikes, good thing i didnt. i would say just go with the probuilt...unless you find a great deal somewhere else and you can put it in yourself.

Jimmy's in Mundelein, IL does a GREAT job from what I hear. Never heard of a single complaint with one of his transmissions, ever. All of the speed shops I've called around here asking about stuff all say they use him for transmissions because he does the best job they've ever seen/used. I'm about to install one of his transmissions in my car in about a week. Reasonably priced too. $1000-1100 (don't remember which) for a complete rebuild with all hop-ups. The only converter he sells with his transmissions are Vigilante, so if you don't have another $700 to spend on a converter, look elsewhere for the converter.
I'm glad to see a heads up on those two ebay sellers. I have a couple of friends debating on getting a rebuilt trans from them, including myself. The other bad thing about purchasing a trans from them is even if they offer a warranty, you still have to pay a fortune to ship it back to them if a problem occurs. I'm seriously considering picking up an ATSG manual and taking the same route as Floor guy!
