what are the 3 wires that plug in the trans for

those wires are the only wires holding me back from removing the main computer harness and was wondering what they where.

i believe they are the converter lock up wires but i am not sure

Axle/Gears: 12B-3.73/9"-3.89
Two are for the converter lock-up. The 3rd is a 4th gear indicator - tells the computer when the transmission is in overdrive.

You need to keep the torque converter lockup functioning. The tranny won't remain happy if you cruise without it.

Transmission: 700r4, corvette servo, 2200 stall
Axle/Gears: 3.27 9 bolt b-w, pbr discs
5.7 is correct trans doesn't like it. If your already working on the thing pull the trany pan off and change the filter, while your there you will see the three 3 wires, 2 go forward to the lockup solenoid and 1 splits off 4"to6" from the plug and goes to the rear of trans to a pressure switch. Then you can see what goes where to do your lockup switch. good luck

orange, purple, and light blue are the three colors purple is in the corner.

in the Pic A is purple, B is tan with a black line, and D is light blue.

the switch works great

some one can wight up a technicel article if they want

The method in the tech article still works without a computer, as long as the wiring hasn't been hacked up.

with the switch in the down position it will lock in 2nd 3ed and 4th with it in the up position it will lock just in 4th. i also ran the ground threw the cruse break switch.

Sorry to hijack the tread, but as i was reading through this, i reallized, hey, my 200-c tranny has a 3 prong connenter with 3 wires going to it.. now it being a 3 speed auto tranny with no override what is the 3rd wire going to? (2 to the tourqe coverter lockup, 3 wire is for???) thanks guys.. just wondering on this one.

Double Poole Double Throw the center off part is important also

you can get them at radio shack
