i was hooking up the b&m kit to put the tranny in my 82 and i had to take off the thing on the tranny that the speedometer cable goes into and i had no idea howit came off but figured i could uncsrew or atleast loosen it by turning it with vice grips (grabbing by the threaded part ) and i cracked it and have a mess in the driveway. so how does it come off and where can i get another one. just my luck that b&m changeover kit was all i had left to do. LOL

 

Those sleeves get siezed into the tailhousings.

Sometimes leaving the speedo cable on it and gripping that will let you spin it.
