Cleaning the internals - solvent?

What is a good solvent to use to clean the internal parts up? Theres no real residue or buildup on anything so far, I just want to run them through to degrease them before I start putting everything back together. Only thing I can think of that I wouldn't mind using in the garage is Super Clean, but I honestly don't think it'll handle the job, and I'd be worried about rust since its mostly water.

Anyone use one of those $20 3.5gallon parts recirculating parts washers? If so what do you put in it?

We use mineral spirits in our parts washer at school, but I go the extra mile to use brake cleaner on top of it. It's probably not a big deal to worry about, unless you're working in a dirty environment.

I use parts washing solvent in my parts washer.... figured that's the "right stuff" for it.

Castrol super clean is the best non petroluem based degreaser i've ever seen though, beats the pants off simple green and others like that.

I usually use diesel fuel, followed by lacquer thinner.
