opinions on a rearend please
ok...so i want to set my car up for more than just straight line running...and i'm almost leaning towards drifting with it...but i think i'd rather handle well through corners than slide....so what are your recommendations on gearing? and should i go with a limited slip...or full posi? any opinion would be helpful in swaying my decision.

4 terms, let's not confuse the poor guy.
1. Open diff. one wheel wonder, bad for traction
2. Posi(limited slip). Used in most factory posi aplications. Uses clutches and friction to lock the wheels together, but allows slipage in corners(to compensate for different wheel speeds). Great for general performance use. Probably the best choice for your car.
3. Locker(like a Detroit Locker) Mechanically locks the wheels together under load by engaging teeth with one another with no slipage between the two. Unlock soff load. can make corners "interesting" if you're on and off the power because of the harsh engagment. They also "ratchet" or "clunk" in corners. Super strong with excellent straight line traction, but probably not what you want.
4. Spool. Mechanically locks the axles together 100% of the time. great for straight lines, very very bad for corners. relitivly unsave and unpredictable in the rain, snow, or any other time changing traction conditions are present. Don't get a spool.

sorry bout that..i confused myself...i seem to have a problem with the posi-limited thing....but yeah...i meant full lock or limited....seems to me the car is open diff right now....so a locker would be better for drifting where the limited would be better for cornering.....it's for the rs...and i think i may go drift with it....i have the z and the ss for cornering....so should i go with the lock then? or would you still say limited?
