Pedal adjustment for better heel&toe?

Hey i was just wondering if anyone has modified their Pedals in their car so that the brake and gas pedal are level with each other ( or at least closer). Trying to get my heel on the gas pedal while putting the brake on is really hard due to how much higher the brake pedal is when compared to the gas. Has anyone modified their pedal assembly for this reason? i have a 91 firebird with a T5.

I did last fall by ordering a set of Sparco bolt on pedals for $25. I removed the rubber covers off the car's pedals and drilled holes for the bols. I got them so close now that I work not to press the throttle pedal when pressing on the brake.

My brake pedal is far below the gas pedal when I'm hard on the brakes, has anyone else had that issue?

another thing I do is put the arch of my foot on the brake pedal and tap the throttle pedal with my toe. Seems to work ok for me.

I fabricated a bracket to the throttle pedal rod to relocate the plastic pedal up higher (farther away from firewall). It's just about even with the brake pedal now. The drawback is that it's quite high off the floor so I need to know exactly where it is. It's easy to move my foot to the right and miss the pedal or slide my foot under the pedel.

The reason I did the relocation is that I have my seat set back farther than stock and I had to fully reach with my leg to go to WOT. Moving the pedal backward has me in a more natural position and only moving the ankle is required to move the throttle.

I don't need the "heel/toe" thing. Left foot holds brake pedel until transbrake is set then brake pedel is released.

That's what I've been doing since it's about the only way I can do it with the way the pedals flow. I've always wondered how everyone did it talking about rolling their foot until I realized my car is different.
