TH700R4 wiring help needed!
I have a 700r4 from an 88 Chevy Astro van that has been built up. My tranny guy rewired the TCC to work with a switch. I want to put it back to factory so the computer will have control. I am installing TPI on my 86 Monte SS using the early 9th injector setup with MAF.
My tranny has two pressure switches and the two wire TCC solenoid. I need help in figuring out how she was wired from the factory. Below is a few pictures to show what I have.

The drawing above is spot on. If you wanted to have lock up in 4th gear only, you can also wire it that way. I prefer it. With my higher ratio rear gears and my low torque peak on the engine, it makes the car a little more pleasant to drive around town. Just another option to think about.

THANK YOU GUYS!!!!!!
I have been scouring the internet trying to figure this thing out with out any luck. I wasted a whole day trying to figure this out. I am so close to finishing my TPI swap. I did not realize how many different ways a TH700R4 can be wired! You are a big life saver!

anybody know how wire the lockup converter to a switch? i have a '84 camaro which HAD the feedback carb and electronic advance distributor but i swapped older parts in so i can have more control over what my car is doing but now my lockup converter doesn't work and my gas mileage is gettin killed
also my computer has been removed so can the wiring go straigh to a selonoid or straight to the trans? or something?

Yes. This is the way my Monte Carlo was wired. Basically, depending on how many pressure switches you have and whether or not you have a two wire soleniod or a one wire soleniod, all you need to do is to apply twelve volts to the solenoid to get the converter to lock. Here is a site that I found very informative about controling the lock up converter.

I also have an 84 Z28 that has been de-computerized but I have not removed all the wiring or the computer itself, I just disconnected so I am able to control my lockup with the Diagnostic plug under the dash. Like this

i hooked a switch up to the connector on the outside of the trans. I hooked power in terminal A and ground in terminal D. I found on the internet someone did it like this but when i did it, it didn't work and the wires got hot and it seemed like i was pulling a huge amperage draw cause my lights would dim out. So then i found that some of the selonoids are self grounding so i unhooked the ground side and now it just does nothing. Any suggestions??

I've searched all over the internet and can not find that and it's driving me nuts
