Does any one have 4.10 gears on there car? How do you like them? Can you drive it on the street? What is the RPM at Highway speeds like say 65 or 75? This is with a 700R4 trans street strip car. Please help out

got them on mine.
With the TH350C trans i hit 3000RPM at 60mph/100km/h without the lockup.
Definately streetable but not the best for fuel economy on the highway.

whether or not to run "X" gear ratio depends on you engine's powerband, your tire height, your trans, and the intended use of the vehicle. - there are cars that run faster with a 3.00 gear than a 3.73, so they obviously wouldn't want a 4.10.

I realize that. My Cams power band is from 1500rpm to 5500 rpm. That what specs where on it. It is a comp cams cam. It has 474 lift with a 114 deg lob seperation. I cannot remenber the duration. It's like an RV I think. With my current gear I go through at 4500 or so(1/4). My is friend recommending the 4.10 because he said the change from what I got (3.27) to a 3.73 is not worth it. Not much of change.

Transmission: 700R4, for now....
With your powerband you'll probably be faster with the 3.73's. 4.10's will have you trapping over 6k rpm depending on your tire size. But, with the right motor and over drive 4.10's are whats in my 68 and my partners Z, both love the highway, I've even been to florida twice...
5500 rpm? Unless you're going to a taller than factory tire, a 4.10 would be too much. As stated, 6k trap speed. 3.27 to a 3.42 is wishy-washy, but to a 3.73 would be a good step. 1 gear ratio step is not considered much af a gain in a street or mild race car. 2 is always worth it.
- also, if you currently have a 3.27, not a 3.23, then you've got a 9-bolt, which means getting/finding a 4.10 is next to impossible. Go with the 3.70.

After doing much digging I found 4.10 gears but I would have to get them from Austraila. About $350 just for gears...no shipping. The caculator on this web site put me at 5300 rpm or so with a 4.10 gear in 3rd with a 25.5 tire. I put 100mph and that is what it gave me for rpm. Right now I do about 101 through the lights. Maybee this will change with different gears? The speed... so that could be why this is off. You all are telling me it will be more like 6100rpm?

Im thinking of maybe getting rid of it and picking up a new 800R summit this fall!

Gotta keep up with the times
If you're already turning 101, a lower ratio(numerically higher) that puts you more into your powerband is usually gonna raise your mph. So yes, you'd probably be running out of motor with the 4.10.

If you can make the RPM's the 4.10's are great. I installed them once in a built up 305 and it made a HUGE diffrence. the lil mighty mouse acually felt like it had torque for once lol

I dont remember for sure. I remember that I was just about completly tached out in 3rd and getting ready to shift into 4th (700R4) with the 4.10 I believe it was somewhere in the 58-6000 range.
