transgo install sheet vs video ...

On this step. the video shows them just taking the new parts, slapping them together and installing. Mentions no grinding of this shaft. wtf??

Maybe the paper is a revised edition and the video is a general overview.

Me too.

Ya'll know if I can do the servo AFTER I bolt the valve body back in? I have the tranny on the bench.

I'm a littel concerned how i'm gonna flip the valve body onto the tranny (on the bench) without losing the check *****.

you can use vasoline to hold the check ***** in place, be careful about setting the band tension. The video basically said :"not too tight, but not to loose" i ended up going to loose and burning the band up. Call transgo for specs maybe and use a feeler gauge to figure out the band slop

Also a vote for grind it off :-)

A note for others installing TransGO stuff, always go by the instructions as they are revised as the kits change.

The video has been the same for however many years it has been out(still a good overview for peeps unfamiliar with trans')

later
