Turbo 350 rebuild
Hey guys,
I just picked up a 350 tranny and want to overhaul it. I was wondering if anyone has tackled this themselves, and share some advise. Before I begin.
I have found a overhaul kit at a local Checkers for $89 bucks.

the main things i would do:
1: make sure your direct, forward, and low/reverse clutch packs hold five clutches. most direct for the v8 only come from the factory holding four. if it wasn't a v8, it was less.
2:change the low roller sprag out with one from a late 700r4('87& up). it is a direct fit with no mods needed.
3: put a heavy duty sprag and hardened race on your direct drum for the intermediate clutch. these are known weak spots.
what all does the rebuild kit from checkers include? $89 sounds kinda cheap.
