I am gathering the parts to swap to a manual tranny. One of the more difficult parts to find is a manual shift plate for a firebird (1985 and later). It is a discontinued part. I did manage to find one, but it is in poor condition. Anyone modify their automatic shift plate to make it work for a manual tranny? I want it to look decent and not a hack job.

 

Ya i did the conversion 5 years ago.. Trying to find a shift plate in good condition for an 83 84 ta is harder, only made two years... I made one out of carbon fiber and sold it to somebody on the board here, after i found a good stock one...
