How Bad Did I Mess Up?

I had to replace my pinion seal and subsequently my pinion yoke as well due to a drip after driving. The seal install went ok; the yoke install was ok until I had to tighten the nut down. The new yoke looked a bit bigger so I went 2-3 threads past my matchmark. The wheels wouldn't turn at all so I backed off to where I should have left off initially, at slightly more than 2 threads showing. Backing out of the driveway, I had what felt like "wheel hop" at maybe 5 mph. Forward gears weren't really tested cause the hop bugged me so much, although 10 mph seemed ok. I figured to rememdy this, I went back and moved the marks to within 1/16th of inch like EVERYTHING I HAVE READ told me to do. I haven't test driven it yet cause problems at 11pm are no fun to fix. I noticed that the yoke maybe has a 16th of in/out as the wheels go forward and reverse, and about the same flex side to side.

My question is in the title of the post. How bad did I mess this up?

Oops..
Eric
