Differences between 3rdGen V6 Manual Trans & V8 Manual Transmission

Transmission: T56 Conversion
Axle/Gears: 3.27 9bolt
Differences between 3rdGen V6 Manual Trans & V8 Manual Transmission
Hi!
I'm parting out a 1989 Firebird 2.8Ltr v6 with 5gear-manual transmission.
Someone asked me if he could use this transmission in a 1988 trans am 5L tbi.
Are there more differences than the "transmission bell" ( don't know if it's the right word for it ; i mean this part of the transmission :

ok, so there is a possibility to use a v6 trans in a v8....
perhaps it doesn't make much sense, but that wouldn't be very interesting to me... it's not for my car
in some years i think i'll buy a X0 trans for my t/a
