vibration around shifter
got a little question, i have a vibration that comes up from around the shifter in my car when im at higher speeds and at higher rpm, over 4000, its not the driveshaft as its new a perfectly ballanced, and idears? and its not a constant vib either its hard to explaine, it comes and goes, evenly like 01010101010 if that helps in any way

The same symptoms happened to me when my driveshaft was unbalanced. Never had a problem until I put new U-joints in. I guess the slop from the old U-joints took up the out of balance condition. Once new joints were put in, the vibration would come and go, depending on the rpm. A trip to the driveshaft shop fixed it. Like yours, the vibration was most evident at the shifter.

your driveshaft may be in perfect balance, but if its even 1/4 an inch too long or too short it will cause vibrations.
