trans wont engage any gears

I was driving home from work this morning and my tranny just stop pulling. I first thought i broke the the rear end gear but it isnt turning the drive shaft. I wasnt driving it hard. Weird thing is I checked the fluid a couple of days ago and it was fine. checked it today after the problem, now it is way over full. I dont have 200 miles on the trans since it was rebuilt. I think the fluid has stop circulating any ideas?

that means you need to buy a new tranny. Thats it or rebuild your. It gonna be fairly pricey either way but id say upgrade it when you have the chance.

the trans just has 250 miles on the rebuild. It has been working great.
I took off the transmission line going into the radiator and it was dry. I started it up with it still off and still nothing. Could it be stopped up or something or is it the pump?

I would try a few more diagnostics to rule out easy stuff. Put it on jackstands, fire it up and drop it into gear. Any fluid out the cooler lines now? If not, then I'd say your pump isn't doing anything or your main valve isn't functioning or your TC had a major meltdown. The main valve allows fluid flow through the tranny when shifted into gear. Since it died while driving the main valve isn't a likely culprit, sounds like your pump burned up or TC.

I'd also pull the torque converter cover and see if it is turning when engine is running. If somehow the bolts came out of it you'd see all the symptoms you are describing.

well i check the bolts on the tc and they were all in and tight. So I took them out and the tc turns easy in all gears including park. It should not turn without resistance except in neutral am i right?

The TC work by fluid sheer you shouldn't feel any resistance turning by hand. Does the tranny fluid smell burt or look brownish?

based on what you've said about the converter, its more than likely you've got a problem with the pump. its just kind of funny the way it would go like that while you were driving it. my recomondation, take it out.
