9 inch question (posi, limited slip...)

I know this is probably not the best place to ask about Ford stuff but I dont know of any good Ford groups and this is for my 86 TA.

I am going to install a 9" Ford in my TA and dont know what is best to buy to get the power to the ground. I was wondering if Truetrack was the best way to go?

My vehicle is 86 TA, ZZ383 425/460, Raptor 700R4, and 3.50 gearing and this is a street vehicle (weekend vehicle).

Thanks, Nonni

Its ok, we have some snow and the temp is around freezing point. The TA will not get out untill next spring!

I run a trac loc clutch type in mine, very easy to rebuild.

Tru Trac by detroit locker would be a good choice. I have one in mine and it is quiet and has no clutches to wear, at the track it hooks dead square, I have never heard a noise out it and and I use full slicks with a trans brake and 700 HP engine... best compromise between a locker and a clutch posi

Detroit TrueTrack here also in my 9". So far I like it all though one time my tires were chirping around a corner at 70mph(little scarry), not sure if it needs to be broken in or not or mine is just tight from the factory. Anytime I want it to lock up it's just a matter of steping on it, hundred times better then the stock piece of **** I had before.
