v6 4th gen rearend

would it be possible to take a 4th gen rearend out of a v6 car and put it in my 3rd gen?
all i have is a stock 305
what i'm really looking for is what the common gears were in the v6 4th gen rearends, and they were usually disc brake rearends too right?

generally 4th gen are disc, i dont think they came with drums.

willl give you help on this topic. its done all the time, but its wider and the wheels will need different backspacing, as well as parking brake issues

i know about the wheels sticking out and it's not really a problem i'm worried about, maybe i'll just buy a set of zr1's

93-97 V6 cars had drums with disc option, 98+ V6 all had Disc standard.

From what I've seen in the yards, the auto V6's usually got 3.23's and the stickshifts usually got the 3.42's.

93-97 usually got 3.23 auto and 3.42 manual
98+ got 3.23 auto and manual, with 3.42 option on either.
