Want more of a performance gear
Hi all! New to this site. I have a 273 limited slip, but want more of a performance oriented gear. What is the highest i can go without swapping the carrier? What is it... a size 2 carrier? Maybe some 3.42?

I am pretty sure anything over 3.08 will require a series 3 carrier. So if you wanted 3.42's you will need a new carrier my friend.

3.08 is the numerically highest stock ratio you can put on the 2-series carrier you have. However, you can purchase new 2-series gears in ratios of 3.23, 3.42, 3.73, etc, that will work for you.

OK. Thanks guys. Where can one purchase the "new" series 2 gears that are numerically higher? Are there any downfalls in using these gears in my carrier?
