Transmission: T-5
Axle/Gears: 3.27 Limited Slip
Changed Gears, Speedo's off

Hey all, OSS here;

last year I changed my rear end from a blown, open, 3.75 to a limited slip 3.42 rear end, and as a result, my speedo reads slower then I'm going. Any real way to correct this. Would I just have to get a speedo cable from a 3.42 car and run it in my car? Car is an 83Z

If you are running a 26 inch tall tire, I am pretty sure you need a grey 15 tooth drive gear and a 42 tooth driven gear to correct the speedo reading.

Yes, with the proper speedo gears.

From what I gather, the poster is running at T-5. The following link will provide some part numbers that may be useful:
