Need some help fast!!
Ok, here is the thing....i just put a new rear end into the car and it drove great till last night. Now there is a kinda of clunking grinding noise coming from what sounds like the front passenger side. And it does it only when the car is in motion.
I know uni-bodies transmit noise wierd but I was wondering if it could be the u joints. Any help would be awesome. (I dont know if u need to know but the rear end is a posi with a 3.40 ratio I believe....well whatever 14÷41 is. Id check it myself but I dont have a calculator. Anyway... when I checked the rear end everything was good. I did the breakaway torgue...fine...the pattern test fine. Im srry if this is too much info but ya....better safe than srry right.)

Could be u-joints but have you checked your tranny mount? It could be loose or maybe even broke! Just a thought
Re: Need some help fast!!
my guess is you screwed up the install. you changed gears right, not rear ends? you set preload, checked pinion depth and back lash and all were within spec right? pattern doesn't mean much if everything is in spec., it's too subjective to get alot out of it. did you install the bearings dry? i'd take it apart and inspect everything.
