Torque arm nuts
Lost one of the nuts, where the very long bolts connect to the transmission. I tried the nut from the tranny mount, it fits, but I still need one more *L*, so what size are they ? Metric size or 3/8 fine grade ?
Also, when I remove my driveshaft, I didn't mark it at all, is there a trick as to how it goes, or as long as it's straight and looks aligned, and fits, it's ok ??
It's these tiny hardware problems that are haunting me *L*, couldn't use the GMBB C-clips on the u-joints, had to reuse my old ones, or the u-joints would barely move.

Re: Torque arm nuts
Usually it is a good idea to mark the DS, but if not just stick it in straight and snug the bolts uniformly, then give it a good 1/4" turn. I would recommend torquing them. Over tightening them will make it vibrate. If it vibrates, turn the ds 180* out from the rear end.
As for the Torque arm nut, send me your address in PM I will mail you one.
Edit* Nm I thought you were refering to the big friggan nuts for the rear of the torque arm.

Re: Torque arm nuts
Yeah I'm talking about the torque arm bolts, the ones that go up front. It seems like they're the same size nuts as for the tranny mount, and I suspect they're also the same size needed for the exhaust manifold to Y-pipe connection as well.
And yes, I can't find them, so I'm missing hmmm 3 bolts.

Re: Torque arm nuts
I think they're M8 coarse. They take a 15mm wrench right? If the bolts don't have the SAE markings, then they're metric eh? Try to get the all metal locking nuts.

That's nylon, and yea, not those. (those are nylocks).
You want "stovers". All metal, or crimped metal locking nuts. Those suckers don't back off.

Re: Torque arm nuts
That's what I thought too, but it looks like they're either worn out, or they actually take metric ones as well
