stock t-56 clutch will it hold up?

I just rebuilt my motor to a 383 stroker and I've got a 97 t-56 tranny backing it. Now I just got a new clutch like a month ago right before the motor went it was a replacement from napa (the cheapest one but still better than stock they said) I built the motor really well didn't go cheap on it but now I'm out of money and I'm afraid that the clutch is going to break if I decide to lay into it. I was wondering if its a definite that its going to break no matter what I drive it like or if it might be able to handle me laying into it but just no clutch dumps. So if you guys have any idea on what I should or can do please let me know.

I had a Napa clutch in my car when I still had TPI. It was fine for a while. I took off from a red light one night and my clutch wouldn't work. The pedal was hard. I had to kill the car and coast into a parking lot. After stopping, my clutch pedal would move, but I had no clutch control. I started the car in third(4.10s) and made it home. I pulled the trans and found the clutch disk exploded. The springs were everywhere. I wasn't rough on my car either. I do have bad luck though.

Wow well I guess I'll try to baby it for the most part but I know I'm going to want to see what she'll do when I get her done so I'll just have to restain from beating her too much. Which is going to kill me until I get everything broken in and running right. But thanks for the addvice and sorry to hear bout your clutch.

You live and learn. I have a friend that had a similar incident with an Autozone piece. I have a Ram clutch now. So far, so good.

i wouldnt throw a stock replacement clutch behind a decent 383.. when you get enough money, go ram powergrip hd.. forget centerforce.. they will never get another penny from me.. the damn centri weights on that thing made powershifting a nightmare..
