Mega Shifter Problem

Transmission: 700R4 Both Cars
Axle/Gears: 3.23 Posi.. 4 wheel disc both cars
Mega Shifter Problem

I have installed my B and M Shifter, and can either get park, and no 1st gear, or first gear, and no park......Have tried adjusting it several times......It looks easy....Any ideas guys....Sure would like to be able to shift into low gear.........What could I have done wrong?????...Thanks, Tom

i did the mega shifter a long time ago, u have to set the shifter up for a 4 speed auto when its outa the car, follow the instructions they tell u how to set the shifter from a 3 speed to a 4 speed. comes set up for a 3 speed sounds like thats ur prob.

Yeah you have to remove a metal pin...I did do that....I have read the directions so many times, im lost......Thanks tho, Tom

may be an unrelated prob, but the send like a 5ft cable which is way to f*in long, better off buying a shorter 3ft so you dont have to loop it, other than that i dont know

Dads having EXACT same trouble! Did you ever fix it? He can get park, but then no 1st, if he sets it up in first, gets no park!

Gallileo60 What fixxed it?!

With regards to using a shorter cable:

We had a problem a few years back where the cable melted and broke. It was put in to a garage who "repaired" the cable making it shorter and routing it differntly. We lost 2 gears after this repair job.

the original cable will work but its not as strong.
what i found works best for me is setting it up in neutral.....
