leaking tranny fluid

well i just recently got a 1988 Trans Am GTA, and i have noticed a bit of a leak, it looks to be coming from the back end of the trans but i haven't been able to get under it yet and really see whats going on. you guys think it will be ok to go ahead and drive it?? the leak isnt bad, just dripping every now and again, probly 1 drip an hour or so, probly not any worse than that.

Re: leaking tranny fluid

it appears to be leaking out of the tail housing area, its is slightly damp around the 4 bolts holding it to the tranny, but it is worst around where the speedo sensor is. it seems to leak in between the aluminum piece and the actual part of the tail housing, the cylinder -like part leaking tranny fluid-100_2646.jpg

any ideas?
