Re: 700r4

TCI and B&M both make 700's capable of handling 500+ hp, but Bowtie Overdrives gives you the best value.

Re: 700r4

I will say this once more Pro Built, TCI and B&M make transmissions that will "hold" that ammount of power but it won't be reliable. 700R4s aren't easy transmissions to build I'de go with a reputable seller and spend the extra money up front.

I think he's looking for something he can drop in and drive without waiting, but if you have the extra money and patience pro built trans are the better way to go.

Re: 700r4

TCI and B&M don't reccomend over 450hp, and they won't hold that for very long. They only survive due to mail order and magazine hype.

Pro Built will cost much less, as you'll only have to do it once.

Pro Built and PATC(raptor) are the only companies with real knowledge on 700s. They are the only companies that continually sell transmissions that last.

Waiting? Patience? You lost me on that....

Stay away from Monster trans.

Re: 700r4

thanks for your replys the 500 hp is probably over kill 400 hp/t would be fine my engine is standard i just thought with a tranny that can handle a bit more power would last longer behind a stock engine but it does get driven hard i like to up set the local rice burners lol as for money thats goin to take a couple of months to save up plus theres the shipping cost and 27.5% import tax so it is going to be pricey what ever i buy so im going to go with the pro built road/race tranny thanks again

Re: 700r4

Always a pleasure to help. What's this Import tax you speak of? 27.5%!? that's crazy.

Re: 700r4

hi cause i live in the uk when we import stuff the goverment want there cut so we have to pay 10% import duty and 17.5% vat duty on the total price including shipping so a tranny at $1500 and $450 shipping so be about another $530 in goverment theft lol
