Engine: F 305 TPI, 8 350 TPI
Transmission: 700 r4
what 700R4 will fit into my '89 TPI 350 TA?
I got an '89 350 TPI with an 700R4 that I lost 3rd and 4th gears on, and I don't want to spend 1500 on a rebuild. So I am looking for a used tranny. My question is this --
What year of 700R4 will fit into my car? Off the top of my head I would say that i need to look for an 87-92, as that was the years that the 350 TPI L98
was made, and preferable an 89-92 in case of any improvements that GM made to the tranny, as time went along.
Any input appreciated.
