Re: Quick question on gear fluid

The limited slip fluid is usually an addative. You can buy it at most parts stores. I believe its around a 4-6 oz. bottle. Other then that you can use any 85W-90 gear oil you like. Not sure of the capacity on the rear end. Probably less then 3 quarts total.

Re: Quick question on gear fluid

when it comes out the fill hole it is full. just make sure the car level so you over fill or under fill. i believe that my car took one bottle additive and about qt and a half of fluid. i run 75-140 full synthetic in my gta and have no problems with it. just an idea

Re: Quick question on gear fluid

make sure the pinon is nice and level and you should be fine. btw what is on the side? the filler hole is on rear cover right hand side. and yes it will be easier with it out of the car. not that it is hard with it in but the damn pan hard bar likes to get in the way. :P

Re: Quick question on gear fluid

be sure when you get your additive get the gm stuff from the dealer, its only like $9, and its superior to store bought stuff.
