Lots of people have bought that part on the board. As I understand it, it will increase the throttle needed to get a downshift on the highway. Will also raise the mph at which time it will downshift from 4th to 3rd.

The downside being that while you may be able to get 130 mph in 4th instead of 115 mph, you will also get the downshift at 130 (instead of 115) and put your engine way up into the redline.

It's not that bad to install. It's a TV plunger sleeve that's getting replaced. Visible once you take the pan off.

Wait a minute. You were looking at their $125 upshift kit. I was thinking of their $35 kickdown valve. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...0&autoview=sku

I had a Pro Built Automatic shift kit put in yesterday. I asked him to include one of his allen screw modified kickdown valves in with the kit. It works perfectly. At 85 mph it won't kickdown to 3rd at full throttle. Also makes the WOT shift. I'd ask him to send you one. Can't cost more than about $15 or so.
