My 88 IROC has a leak from the dipstick tube. It's so bad that when it's driven ATF is on the back of the car. I jacked the car up and went under it and saw that some idiot put a rubber hose to seal it, and it tore and the Dipstick was sticking out of the hose.
Now, is it a O ring or a different type seal that goes there? I remember my 92 Camaro RS had a rubber seal that was torn when I went under the car.
This is the rubber seal i'm talking about.

Could be either.
Have both an O-ring and one of those seals on hand when you go to fix it.
Thanks! By any chance do you know what size O-ring I need?

Not right offhand... seems like they can look it up at the parts store though
