TKO Questions.

Will my Pro 5.o T5 shifter bolt onto the TKO500? I know the bell housing and clutch will work. Is this a direct bolt in? Or will I need to mod anything on my 84z?

what was the pro 5.0 shifter originally for???

if it was for an older TKO II then no, it won't its a new shifter base....if its a stock setup for a t5, then no it won't either

Re: TKO Questions.

The shifter is a Pro 5.0 and a few months old for a world class T-5. I would hope that it bolts up to a TKO-500.

Re: TKO Questions.

Thanks guys, The tremec comes with a shifter so I don't have to worry about that anymore. I just ordered a TKO600! YAY! I'm gonna give the rearend about six months and I figure I'll be lookin for a Moser 12 bolt. I'm going to list the PRO 5.0 in the classifieds.

Re: TKO Questions.

I just ordered a TKO600 and they come with a shifter. So as soon as I get 15 posts I will put it (the pro 5.o shifter that is )in the classifieds.

Re: TKO Questions.

Just a FYI. The stock shifter that comes with the TKO's is made by Hurst, so it's a pretty decent shifter.

yup.....its billet aluminum, and its pretty nice.....the only advantage to the pro 5.0 is the adjustable shift stop-ring.

I have a billet aluminum one that goes on top of the shifter, and replaces the cover/spring plate....and it has integral bolts for shift stops.......mike forte gave it to me when i bought the tko 600 cause i bitched about not being able to use my TKOII pro 5.0 lol.....I dunno if he sells them or what though.

Re: TKO Questions.

Congrats on the tranny. I have the TKO600 and I LOVE it.....very smooth and I don't have any worries about busting it. Fabbing up a shift stick that wouldn't bank the ashtray in 1,3,5 gears was fun...
