Need pics of diff bell housings.
I am planning a swap. Does anybody have any pics archived that show the mounting surface of either trans from a V8 or V6 car?
Imma look around and see if I find what I'm looking for.

Re: Need pics of diff bell housings.
I may order a bell house from a local junkyard to see, but will the B/W T5 mate up to the v6 bellhouse?
How much power does the trans in the V6 handle?

I'll see if I have any pictures showing my BH for my T-10 at home.
What exactly are you trying to do here, swap what for what?

I am trying to find a way to save money and not have to order a specific adapter from the U.K. (but they mate to fords not GM)
Basically need to bolt a T5 into a bellhouse that is made for the ford Type 9 transmission. The ford type 9 can only be made to withstand 300hp. I need the trans to hold GM 500+ type hp and some meaty torque. And would prefir a manual tranny.

Ok, you lost me here.
What engine (GM, Ford etc) and displacement, are you trying to mate to which tranny (type, make, normal engine that it is mounted to).

Re: Need pics of diff bell housings.
You need to start looking at Tremec transmissions. I know lots of ford guys in California who did really well with the 3550 and TKO transmissions and they were making lots of power. They all had piles of destroyed world class T5 transmissions before they finally changed their minds.
Good luck!

Re: Need pics of diff bell housings.
Third gen bellhousing are very specific. The clutch linkage (hydraulics) is attached at a 45* angle in relation to the bellhousing to clear the floor. Typical bellhousing have them mounted straight off the sides. It's going to be hard to find a non third gen housing to work with anything else.
With that amount of power your best option is to open your wallet and invest in a T56 setup. Build a powerful engine and you can't wimp out on the transmission and differential.
