I have an 85 firebird v6 with auto tranny. Everything has ran perfectly since i got it a few months ago, it has a rebuilt engine and tranny. The only thing wrong with it was the speedo didnt work.

Today when i get home from work and im walking to the house i see large (1 foot or so around) spots of transmission fluid all down my driveway about every 2 feet. I now have no tranny fluid in my car at all, I looked underneath the car and saw a wire hanging down. It is actually 2 wires inside of a plastic hose. It is hanging down from the driver side but is long enough to go to the passenger side, which is where the leak is coming from. Im not sure if the wire hanging down is the speedo cable and they just didnt hook it back up after rebuild or if it has something to do with the leak. I read somewhere that a guy had a leak from his electrical harness connector, but i have no clue.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
