where do i drill a hole?
im at the point in my t10 conversion where i need to cut a hole in my firewall for the "upper rod" to pass through the wall and attach to the z bar. if someone could give the location of the hole that would be great! example- 3" below brake booster and 1" to the right? thanks art

There should be a cutout on the pad under your carpet that makes the perfect template.

there is a cut out in the floor matting down there. I know its damn near spot on for the hydraulic setup, its what i went by. i dont know if there are differences for the mechanical linkage though

Funny how I stumble on these threads....
I could measure from the firewall side, but i'm on a business trip away from my car for most of this week. Perhaps Air_adam is willing to.
Or if I come home early I can see about this.

I'll try to get out to my car today or tomorrow, and I'll see what I can do
I'll take pics if I remember too.

Re: where do i drill a hole?
well, i felt a little frisky last night and took a 1/2" drill bit to my firewall. i started in the center of the area designated for clutch master cyl. then i took a sawzall and cut upward about 1.5". this produced a slot tall and wide enough for my modified upper pushrod to pass through.oh, to re-inforce my upper i just took a extra one that came with my setup, hacked the ends off, then welded them together. now this piece is STOUT!long story short...i was sucessfull

Re: where do i drill a hole?
I was going to go get numbers for you tonight, but it looks like I don't need to dig out the car just yet. Good to hear you got it working!
