TV Cable Install Help

What is the easiest way to keep the hook that is in the tranny from sliding out of the hole that it goes into in the end of the TV cable? Everytime I hook it into the hole, it wont go in that far and as I lower it into the tranny it just pops out. Any ideas?

Re: TV Cable Install Help

have someone hold tension on the end by the throttle body. when this happens, it pulls the cable up into the housing preventing the wire link from coming loose.

I had someone hold tension on it but after I have it in now, their is no tension when you pull on the tv cable from the top. How much tension should their be?

Re: TV Cable Install Help

try disconnecting it from the throttle body. get the t.v. linkage connected to the cable then push the end of the linkage into the casing of the cable while still holding the the linkage. you may need to pull the linkage out of the trans a little. lower the casing to the trans while holding the cable connection up inside the casing.
