I was wondering if someone could lead me in the right direction here. I currently have a 700r4 tranny and was wondering if I should put in a 350 turbo? I am in the process of installing a SD 360 engine (from a 305) and was wondering if the 700r4 will hold up and/or do I need to make changes to it such as adding in a shift kit (stage), and converter? Or do I need to change to a turbo 350? If I need to change, what needs to happen on the 350 for the sawp? I know I need a long tail (9" to keep the drive shaft), and a cross member http://www.spohn.net/?action=product&pid=1176. Will I need a torque arm bracket http://www.jegs.com/p/Hurst/746223/10002/-1/10531 or do I need both? Would there be anything else that needs to happen for this swap? Will my automatic shifting plate still line up with my indicators (ie, p,r,n,d,2,1), will my speed-o-meter still operate properly, or are there kits for this as well. Any opinions, suggestions and/or guidance will be greatly appreciated!
Sorry for all the dumb questions, and thanks for the help!

I went through this dilema a few months ago...https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/afte...ht=considering
Thanks for the info! It is very useful! So, what did you end up doing? Keeping your 700r4 or put in a th350? and if you did put in a turbo 350 where did you get it and how did you make out?
Thanks!
Thanks!
