When I try to adjust my tv cable I cant get it to go right. I pull the slider all the way back and when I try to hook the cable to the throttle lever it wont reach it all the way. So then instead of doing it that way I leave it on the lever and then try to pull the cable all the way back. However the slider doesnt go all the way back and when I pull it to wide open throttle the slider comes all the way out before I even get to WOT. Aybody have any ideas of what might be wrong?

 

any clues?

 

Any ideas before I go out and buy a new one?

Does this look like a bracket issue or a cable issue?

 

i had the same problem when i put in a new trans. the cable i bought is made by teckpak, its has a different adjuster that doesnt slip. just google that and youll find it.

 

So pretty much I need to get a new cable?

 

Also like I said, I cant slide the slider all the way back without unhooking the cable from the throttle lever. What is causing this?

your cable is wrong. it's for the wrong motor. I got into it with advance auto parts over that. cause I know the guy and he knows it's a 350 he kept sending me a 350 tpi cable when I needed a 305 tbi cable

 

I dont see how it can be the wrong cable since I took it with the 305 TPI motor that I put into my car.
