Will a 700R4 shift kit work on a 4L60?

Will a 700R4 shift kit work on a 4L60?
I have a 4L60 tranny and I want to put a shift kit in it. B&M lists one for a 700R4(4L60). Are the two the same? I want to put a Transgo kit instead of the B&M, but Transgo doesn't even list anything about 4L60. So will the 700R4 kit work in the 4L60?

The 700R4 and the 4L60 are the same tranny. The name was changed from 700R4 to 4L60 in either 1990 or 1991.

Car: '89 Pontiac Firebird
Engine: 5.7L
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 10-bolt w/ 4.10 and Eaton Posi
And then when they went to electronic controled solenoids inside it went from the 4L60 to the 4L60E. But it uses more electic connectors than the old ones.
All three are the same, just different ways of controlling them.
700R4 = 4L60 = 4l60E
