How Do You Do This (upshift vlave/vette servo)

ok i want to do the upshift valve and the vette servo. i found a book on how to tear down a 700r4 (think made by haynes) the servo looks easyer than the upshift vlave so i was planning to do it. now what am i getting myself into being i want to do it while the tranny is on the car. is there a web site somewhere w/ instructions step by step, or will anyone that has done it be able to write a set??

That Haynes book is great, eh? If you get interested enough, find the ATSG (Auto Trans Service Group) book on the internet. It's basically the same as the GM/Helms service manual's transmission section, but has some service updates in the back. I found mine for $15 thru http://www.naparts.com (Northern Auto).

The upshift valve replaces the TV sleeve, right? If so that's much easier than the servo... drop the pan, remove the TV linkage, replace the sleeve, reverse the procedure. You don't have to drop the valve body at all.
