Re: Why cant i hit red line?

manual shift, then you will redline. Your building too much vacum too fast causing your transmission to shift. When you manual shift your forcing your tranny to stay in that gear which will make you redline and with the corvette servo it wont let the tranny shift before redline when manual shifting. just my

no it wont, plus it will make the shifts snappier and your tires will sqauck more going into 2nd because of the higher rpms. Just make shure you dont overrev it because you will either break the motor or snap something in your tranny due to the over excess of rpms.

yes it will be louder and longer. Ive even left black marks in a friends driveway if you shift at just the right rpms. i have noticed that i do get alot of play in the rear when it shifts because it tourqes the car so much so i have to upgrade my sway links and suspension bars in the rear to stiffen it up.
