Drive Line Vibration
I am getting a pretty good drive line vibration around 2300-2500 rpm with my ZZ4/700R4 combo (700R4 is from a 92Z28) First, I just had my driveshaft balanced trying to track down the problem so we can rule that out. The vibration is very noticable when I keep the car in 1st or 2nd gear and bring the rpm up to the 23-2500 range. I do have an aftermarket Torque Converter, a TPI 2025stall, could the TC be bad? I had a TC go bad on my 91 Z28, gave a a cyclic vibration around 85mph plus. Dealership found a collapsed vane inside the converter.
Any ideas appreciated.

Hey Rob...I had a similar problem it turned out to be the harmonic balancer on the crank. The rubber was bad you could see it was broke and sticking out from the metal.
Good luck!

I'll look at the balancer but the ZZ4 was new and only has about 15,000 miles on it.
