Yukon Axles or Other OE Replacements
Just fishing for info. I know that Moser 26 spline c-clip replacements are available from Summit and probably Jeg's. Anyone use Yukon or any other OE replacement that might be interesting?

Yukons use an 8.5" 10-bolt or 14-bolt, not the 7.5" we have. They are also most likely a different length too.

Note that the above is the same OE part number.

No, he meant Yukon, as in the brand (Yukon Gear). I haven't heard anything good or bad about their axles. I do know that most things Yukon offer are kinda pricey. In fact, I just clicked on your link, and if that's the price for just one, that is pretty damn expensive. Most guys here on the boards overwhelmingly recommend the Superior brand axles. Only problem is I can't find a listing for the 26 spline, only 28 spline. You might want to contact them and see if they offer the 26 spline version. Their Evolution series axles are really nice, supposedly 35% stronger than OEM with rolled splines instead of cut. They also have a corrosion resistant coating. A pair of the 28 spline Superiors run about $230 through Summit Racing, so I would imagine yours would be about the same cost if they're available.

As far as strength goes, I'm sure the Mosers are fine there. The only negative thing I've heard is some guys have said the flanges at the ends where the studs press in are sometimes a bit different from stock. With as many axles as they sell though, I would imagine that issue has probably been corrected by now. I know the flanges on the earlier disc brake rears is definitely different from the drum ones, so I'd make sure to specify which type you need when ordering them.

I'm also into offroading quite heavily, and there have been many guys break yukon gear's axle shafts before even the stock ones would break. I wouldn't get the yukons. If you can find them (not sure if they are available or not, havn't looked), I'd get superior axles for it.
