My T5 apparently has an identity crisis.....
Ok so im in a Transmissions and drivetrains course at my local college and to make it short and simple : my instructor is going to let me drop and rebuild my tranny for credit and hes letting me replace my clutch for credit as well.
I went to 5speeds.com to price the kit but then i forgot about the WC/NWC thing, seeing how mine is an 89 i kinda assumed that its WC because thats what was used in production right? (which is why my avatar says WC) However, i got under my car and used some degreaser on the tailshaft only to see that it says 066 for the code, that if i am not mistaken is for a mustang... in any case can anyone help me out here? I wanna be able to order my kit and have it at school when i start the tranny drop because i live on a dirt lot, and dirt+trans= bad. Is there any way to identify the WC/NWC dispute without looking at the bearing inside the bellhousing?
TIA
