Silly question, stang/fbody T5 shifters...

What are the differences..are they interchangable with some work? I found a stang one real cheap..so I thought I'd ask just in case

yeah it is a silly question, but i wouldn't expect anything less out of you jester. with out have both to look at i'd say the bolt pattern is differant and the size of the lug that engages the shift rods.

Pablo just said it, Mustang T5/T45 shifters have a real gay curve to them and Camaro T5 shifters go vertical. The shifter base is identical to the best of my knowledge.

Maybe ford thought "our drivers will be short wimps, so lets make the shifter lean back so they don't have to reach as far."

No offense to the short third-gen drivers, I'm 6'4".

6 foot, stick shifter location is perfect for me. I rest my arm in the center concole lid and shift with my arm still on it too.

oh yeah the stang shifter uses a 12mm x 1.5(?) threaded handle and the F-bod shifter uses 16mm x 1.5. But this won't matter if your cutting up the shifter handle anyway.
