Shift kit for v6 700-R4's the same a v8 700R4's??????

My friend has a 2.8 87 camaro and wants to install a shift kit. Is there difference bewteen the v8's tranny shift kits and the v6 tranny shift kits?? Any help will be appreciated.

I can't see why it would be different.

Apeiron's right; there's no difference. I put the B&M kit into my v6's 700r4. In fact, I don't think companies put "v8" or "v6" in the descriptions for their shift kits...

There's a few internal differences between a v6 and v8 trans; but a shift kit won't touch those... only a rebuild kit would, and you'd have to drop the trans to get at them.

Cool..thanks!

I knew that the bell housing had a diff. bolt pattern but i wasn't sure if there was other stuff that wouldn't work.
